Starting an epic string of legends from Celtic folkore. We're back in the time of kings, princesses, and intrigue. You'll see how you can steal a kingdom with fancy accounting, curse a nation because of a careless comment, and start a war to prove to your spouse how rich you are.
The creature of the week is the monaciello from Naples, Italy. When he's not helping you, he's stealing your clothes...off your body...
Really excellent source for the today's stories

Hey
Only just starting to really get into the podcasts in the last month or so been loving them so far.
Listened to this one three times and I still have no idea what is going on.
With the much simpler Greek stories you did an excellent job of splitting out the linked stories of Thesius, Hercules, Dealalous and presumably at some point Jason. With the Irish stories I think you introduced somewhere in the region of 20 or 30 characters in 25 minutes all with bizare, similar sounding names.
Feel bad my only comment is a criticism but it’s literally the only criticism I could make in an otherwise completely solid, informative and enjoyable podcast.
Enjoyed the podcast, though “Konka Var” made my ears bleed :-) It’s definitely Kruh Hoor as others pointed out on Twitter. Daire is Darr-Ah, Dubhthach is Doo-Vuck, Feidhlimidh is Fail-Ah-Me. But, like every language, Irish spelling and pronunciation has evolved in the past thousand years, so most Irish speakers will make their best guess at a name that hasn’t been common for a few hundred years. Check out the album by the Horslips if you can.
Yeah…I’ve gotten a lot of help for the next episode, so hopefully most if not all those problems will be solved. I stuck very close to a couple pronunciation guides I had and researched each name as far as I could, but I’m surprised how wildly off I was.
I appreciate the help on those names. I’ve already recorded next week’s episode, but I’ll give you a shoutout, too, for your help.
Also, I’m listening to the album now as I write, and I love it. Thanks!
Hi. I love the podcast. I’m Irish and just wanted to tell you that Medb is pronounced as Mave (rhymes with rave) incase she appears in future episodes.
She appears quite a bit, so thanks for letting me know. I thanked you on the podcast episode next week :)
